Market stall holders dressed a stray cat in an adorable Hawaiian aloha shirt.

Footage shows the kind locals putting the pink polo with coconut leaves and banana designs onto the black domestic shorthair that had been wandering around their tent in Davao City, the Philippines on August 23.

Vendor Patricia Angela Mata said: ‘My sister Amanda and I attended as merchants at the Kadayawan Festival flea market in Davao City, Philippines. There was a stray cat going around the area, and we decided to dress her with our cat's pre-loved clothes, although we didn't adopt the cat.'

The Philippines has a high poverty rate, and many people cannot afford to spay or neuter their cats, which leads to unwanted litter of kittens that are often abandoned or left to fend for themselves, adding to the country's stray animal problem.
