Officials use ropes to haul leopard out of deep well in India
Forest officials in Savarkundla, Gujarat, used ropes to rescue a stranded leopard from a deep well.
Filmed on September 5, the footage captured by range forest officer Pratap Chandu shows ropes being lowered down the well for the wild animal to bite onto.
Once the leopard had the rope firmly in its jaws, the rescue team hauled it up into a cage at the surface.
The 5-year-old leopard was then taken to a local animal care centre where it will be given a health check-up and released back into the wild.
