A group of anti-war activists marched and blocked the roads surrounding the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) arms fair in London's ExCel centre, as the venue welcomed visitors on the first day of the event - attracting record numbers of visitors, according to the organisers (September 12).

The group carried two large eye-catching signs and chanted 'Free Palestine' and 'No more war', expressing their objection to arms exports.
Traffic built-up behind the activists, with motorists becoming irate, being unable to pass them on the road.

During the run-up to the biennial trade fair, activists and peace campaigners demonstrated outside the venue, with some attempting to disrupt the set-up and delay weaponry from being delivered.
