Stranded Vehicle On Section Of Flooded Road
After ignoring advanced road closure signs & barriers, this driver paid the price when he tried to pass through a section of flooded road on Newton Lane near Castleford, West Yorkshire. The AA & one fire appliance from Rothwell were in attendance who managed to bring the driver to safety on an inflatable dinghy. Two of the crew then managed to push the vehicle within reach of a towing vehicle. The area has seen a higher volume of water over the last couple of week from Storm Desmond and the much recent Storm Eva,
