A little boy battled the throngs of drowsiness to finish eating his favourite fast food chicken meal.

The three-year-old Mason Zero Velarde dined out with family and ordered a plate of rice and deep-fried meat in Manila, the Philippines, on September 9.

However, Mason was already tired after at least two hours of playing and shopping in the mall, so he was already starting to fall asleep when their dishes arrived.

Footage shows Mason sleep-eating the crispy wing and trying his best to stay awake while his amused family watched him from across the table.

Fried chicken fast food is very popular in the Philippines. It is one of the top choices for both casual dining and special occasions. Some of the big food chains in the country include Jollibee, which has built international branches in the UK, Canada, and the US.
