Officials of the Barabanki fire services came to the rescue of 630 victims of flood after water seeped into their houses in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

This happened in Barabanki district of the state on September 12.

Visuals showed the several rescue operations in progress. The officials, wearing life jackets, waded through the knee-high water. They were seen carrying people, from the elderly as well as babies, whom they rescued from these houses which were left completely flooded. The fire department officials also were seen climbing up a house as they rescued a baby trapped inside. They also made those rescued, sit behind the back of a mini-truck to be taken away to safety.

Heavy and incessant rainfall has led to severe flooding in the district and the rescue operations continue despite so many being saved already. The water level has expectedly risen a lot due to this heavy rainfall and people as a result, have had to move to makeshift shelters for safety.
