The G77+China will open a two-day summit in Havana on Friday that will focus on cooperation in the Global South and criticism of developed countries on issues such as the fight against climate change, post-pandemic economic recovery, global financial architecture and human development.

The forum is composed of 134 member states (it retains its name for historical reasons), which together represent 80% of the world's population and is considered by its specific weight as the largest intergovernmental organization within the UN.
