A schoolgirl suffered unsightly bruised lips trying to make her mouth fuller - to emulate the Kardashians.

Sindir Maleehom, 9, who lives in Ayutthaya, Thailand, shocked her mum Wanida Maleehom when she showed her the large pink bruise on her mouth from the improvised beauty hack on September 11.

The youngster said she had wanted to mimic the Kardashian women, who have been open about non-surgical cosmetic work, by making her lips appear bigger and plumper.

Footage shows Sindir demonstrating how she achieved the DIY look, using what appeared to be a baby bottle cap as a suction cup to vacuum the blood into and around her lips.

Though the method appeared to be successful at first, Sindir was left with swollen lips and purple bruises on her mouth a few days later.

She said: 'My lips are small so I wanted to have big ones to be beautiful. I am young, I cannot go to a clinic so I thought of my own way.'

Monther Wanida said: 'The bruises are starting to fade, but they were really bad at first. Sindir had to wear a mask when going to school. It was funny, but I warned her not to do such things again in the future.'

The Kardashians are a high-profile American family known for their reality television show and business ventures.

The family became widely recognised in the early 2000s through their reality TV series 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians,' which aired from 2007 to 2021. The most prominent members include Kris Jenner and her children, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian.

Kanye West's ex Kim, 42, appeared at New York Fashion Week on September 12, where she had noticeably bigger lips. However, she denies ever having lip fillers - which many fans struggle to believe.
