A man climbed two floors to hold up a trapped boy for 10 minutes in southern China.

Video filmed in the city of Zhanjiang in Guangdong Province on September 13 shows a boy dangling perilously from a second-floor window after his head got stuck in security bars.

In a moment of breathtaking bravery, an unidentified young man, who happened to be passing by, swiftly scaled the building up to the second floor. Risking his own life, he positioned himself below the boy, providing much-needed support for the lad's dangling legs.

Onlookers on the ground, quick to react, stretched out a white bedsheet, holding it taut to cushion a possible fall. In a harrowing twist, to ensure the boy’s neck remained free from pressure, the quick-thinking rescuer instructed the child to step onto his head.

This astonishing act of selflessness lasted for about ten nerve-wracking minutes before local residents managed to break into the apartment and pull the boy to safety.

Firefighters, arriving shortly after, deployed a ladder to safely descend the heroic man to the ground.

Eyewitness accounts reveal that at the time of the incident, the boy was home alone. Thankfully, after the rescue, he was checked and found to have suffered no serious injuries.

The owner of a shop on the ground floor recounted the heart-pounding events. "It was around 5:00 in the evening, and I was prepping for dinner when I heard shouts of ‘A child is falling!’ outside," he said.

According to the shop owner, the heroic man who climbed to rescue the boy was a stranger who had just been passing by. "After the rescue, without uttering a word, he just walked away," he said, still in awe. Several locals also pitched in, helping to break open the door of the apartment, further aiding in the young boy’s rescue.
