Brave motorcyclist shatters window to rescue people trapped in car after incident in China
A brave motorcyclist shattered a window to rescue two people trapped in a car after it flipped over in China.
the video was filmed in Chamdo in Tibet Autonomous Region on September 14.
Mr Zhang, the quick-thinking biker, described the harrowing scene he witnessed just moments before jumping into action. He was following the white SUV around a bend when, seemingly due to a steering mishap and a stretch of gravelly road, the SUV skidded and capsized.
"I didn't think twice," recalls Zhang. "I saw the accident unfold right in front of me. The vehicle's door was jammed, so I did my best to rip out the front windshield."
"Considering we were at an altitude of over 3,000 metres, there's always a risk of altitude sickness. And with the SUV smoking, I was really concerned it might catch fire."
As the situation grew more perilous with smoke emanating from the wrecked SUV, Zhang flagged down passersby to assist in his rescue mission. Together, they managed to free the two occupants trapped inside.
Thankfully, both passengers suffered only minor injuries. By the time the authorities arrived at the crash site, the modest hero had already left the scene, continuing on his journey.
