These three were struck with bullets in the first volley of firing by the terrorists and they later died during treatment at the hospital. Bhat is also coincidentally, the son of a retired Inspector General of Jammu and Kashmir police, named Ghulam Hasan Bhat.

This attack which took place, is known to have been a planned ambush on the security forces who had acted after receiving a tip-off and cordoned the area. The cops and the army have been able to kill two terrorists so far as the search for the terrorists continues.
