The historic Waverley paddle steamer was seen arriving on the River Thames, UK this morning (September 18).

Waverley is the world's last seagoing paddle steamer.

The impressive vessel was seen lit by the early morning sun as she was seen passing Sheerness in Kent, with the Southend on Sea, Essex in the background.

Due to this week's forecasted strong winds, she is berthing at Gravesend for safety until her first official London & Thames estuary voyage this Friday (September 22).

Footage shows the paddle steamer passing SS Richard Montgomery wreck, followed by Southend-on-sea's Mulberry Harbour and pleasure pier.
