ICYMI: Boy melts mum's heart by tenderly calming down upset younger brother
This incredibly heartwarming footage shows Rowan, 6, using calming words to help reassure his younger brother Rhyden, 3, who was upset.
Filmed at Coca Beach, Florida, by their mother Kaitlyn, the video features the older sibling asking his younger brother what he wants.
"Do you need space? You don't want space? You want me near you? OK, I'll sit next to you," Rowan says before ruffling Rhyden's hair.
The older brother then tells his mother: "That's how I calm him down.
The boys' mum told Newsflare: "While on vacation in Florda, we took a trip to Coca Beach. Rowan and Rhyden were playing a game of sand monster. Rowan’s younger brother Rhyden became upset during their game and sat down to take a break.
"I took out my phone to take a photo of Rowan’s face (he looks hilarious) and captured this amazing moment between Rowan and Rhyden.
"Rowan wanted to make sure Rhyden was okay, and followed through with using kind and calm words, seeing if he needed space, and then just sat with him.
"Rowan has been doing this more and more with Rhyden, trying to support him when he’s upset, as others do for Rowan.
"I loved this video and showed it to my mum, who posted it on her Facebook."
