The installation “Eggcident” by Dutch artist Henk Hofstra in Sao Paulo, Brazil
This footage was filmed and produced 18 September 2023.
This footage illustrates installation “Eggcident” by Dutch artist Henk Hofstra in the form of a yellow half circle on a round, white area, representing giant cracked eggs. The approximate measurements of the clear ones are: eight by eight meters; and of the gems, 2.3 wide, 2.3 long and 1.2 high. There are five eggs, which are installed in the square, side by side, in an irregular straight line. Next to the second egg there is a totem measuring one meter by one meter and 80 centimeters, with the text: one of the most important things in life is the beginning. Almost all life begins with an egg. When we don't have respect for life, the world will end up like a big broken egg, cracked and ready to be fried.
With too much global warming, Dutch artist Henk Hofstra created the artistic installation “Eggcident”, which features giant eggs cracked and ready to be fried. In which pan? Our own planet! Over the course of ten days, visitors will have the opportunity to delve into Hofstra's creativity and participate in crucial discussions about the environment. This is an unmissable chance to engage with art that transcends barriers and inspires positive change in our community and the world.
