A policeman in northern India used CPR to save a man who lost consciousness while waiting in a car at a police checkpoint.

This incident happened in Muni Ki Reti police station premises in Tehri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand, on September 18.

Footage shows several officers gathered around while one uses CPR to help save the life of 45-year-old Rajat Gupta.

Gupta's car was stopped at the checkpoint where both cops Sanjay Kumar and Home Guard Suresh Kumar were present and they instantly acted upon learning about the man. While Sanjay breathed air into Rajat's lungs, Suresh continuously pressed his chest in an attempt to revive him.

After a while, Gupta regained consciousness and was then driven away from the area and taken to the hospital for treatment.
