No 1 The Thames fort off Kent, UK to be sold at auction
A unique property known as 'No 1 The Thames' off Kent, UK is to be sold at auction tomorrow (September 19).
Grain Tower is a mid 19 century gun tower at the mouth of the River Thames and also the River Medway.
Savills are holding an online auction for the property tomorrow with guide price of £150,000.
The fort is reachable by a short causeway at low tide from the Isle of Grain, and is positioned directly opposite the busy Port of Sheerness.
Footage filmed this evening (September 19) shows the tower as seen from nearby Queenborough, followed by stock footage filmed from the Isle of Grain back in March 2020.
Update: Grain Tower sold at auction today (September 20) for £159,000.
