An out-of-control car crashed into a shop when its female driver mistook the accelerator for the brakes while parking.

Chomtawin Toprakhon, 58, had gone to the plant shop in Buriram, Thailand, to buy some seeds. But while parking near the entrance, she accidentally stepped on the accelerator and lurched inside the building.

CCTV footage shows the vehicle slowly manoeuvring into the parking space before suddenly shooting forward and crashing.

No one was injured and there was only minor structural damage, local media reported.

Store owner Pongpanot Pongakarapakin, 58, said he will not be pressing charges as Chomtawin was a regular customer.

Meanwhile, the shaken driver said she will be shouldering the expenses for repairs.

Chomtawin said: 'I made a mistake while I was trying to park my car. I feel very embarrassed. But I am so relieved that nobdoy was hurt.'
