This is a dramatic moment a motorcycle rider and pillion passenger had a brush with death - skidding on a wet road and falling into the path of an oncmoming car.

Quick-thinking motorist Mark Fernan Cruz was driving by when he saw the motorcycle rider tumble onto the tarmac in front of him in Rizal, the Philippines, on June 26.

Footage captured by the driver's dashcam shows the motorcycle rider trying to overtake another vehicle but losing control and falling over. Cruz - who was thankfully paying attention to the road ahead - quickly turned the wheel to avoid a collision.

The alertness of the driver saved himself and the motorists from being injured.

Mark said he pulled over to check on the pair, who were both unhurt and carried on with their journeys.
