A couple of brave devotees dashed across a pile of burning embers in this fiery festival held in Ha Giang, Vietnam.

Footage from September 11 shows the locals jumping across the embers as well as tossing them with their bare hands.

Locals believe the festival is a way of thanking their gods to bring a good harvest and luck.

According to the man, the festival is organized by northern ethnic minorities every time after harvesting crops. Selected men from the village will participate in the fire festival.
The men would jump into the burning fire. Then they used their bare hands to juggle the embers high. Strangely enough, the men did not feel hot or burned when jumping into the fire and embers.
The fire dancing ceremony is held as an opportunity for all villagers to thank heaven, earth, and gods for a good harvest, bringing warmth and luck.
