STORYLINE:

Three Palestinians were killed and 30 wounded, some of them critically, in Jenin refugee camp tonight during an Israeli army assault, according to the Ministry of Health.

It said a youth was shot in the stomach and was brought to hospital in Jenin in critical condition before he was declared dead.

The ministry later said a second Palestinian was brought dead to the hospital with bullet wounds.

The third later died of his wounds.

The three were identified as Rafat Omar Khamayseh, 22, Mahmoud Ali Saadi, 23, and Mahmoud Khaled Ararawi, 24.

Sources said a large army force stormed the camp and besieged two houses, shooting rockets at them. A drone was also used in the attack against the Palestinian gunmen as armed clashes broke out during the raid.
