The Mayor of Eagle Pass Rolando Salinas has declared a state of emergency as migrant crossings from Mexico into the Texan city have surged.

Footage from September 21 shows a large number of migrants camped under the Piedras Negras-Eagle bridge.

Sheriff Tom Schmerber confirmed that the total number of migrants crossing from Piedras Negras to Eagle Pass had reached 3,000.
