A family were shocked when they found a naked woman casually chilling and watching TV in their living room.

Homeowner Rhomla Saiwaree, 47, and her husband and children had gone out to work at a farm in Krabi, Thailand, on September 19. They locked the house and left the relatives across the street in charge of watching it.

However, when Rhomla's son returned to retrieve something he had forgotten, he heard the sound of the TV and realised the house had been broken into.

He called his mum, who then contacted their neighbour Sorlae Chonlatee, 58, for help fearing the intruder inside might be armed.

As the terrified villagers braced themselves for a confrontation, they were bemused to see a nude middle-aged woman reclining on a wooden bench in front of the TV, with only a towel to cover her modesty.

Sorlae called the police before inspecting the scene but the stranger ignored him to focus on the show.

When more neighbours started filing into the house, she finally stood up, clothed herself, then walked out the door as though nothing had happened.

Solae said: 'The woman didn't seem to care that I was there watching and filming her. There were scattered items around the house, but she didn't take anything.'

Officers from the Ao Luek district station caught the suspected home invader while she was walking along a road in the neighbourhood. They took her into custody.

Meanwhile, residents of the community said they were unfamiliar with her, and believe she had wandered into the area from somewhere else.

Homeowner Rhomla Saiwaree said: 'No one here knew who she might be, so we're sure she isn't from around these parts. We were lucky this time, because she hadn't stolen anything. It looked like she just took a shower, powdered herself, then lay down to watch some TV.

'It was a terrifying experience. I decided to share the video on social media to warn others to be cautious about locking their doors securely.'
