Car plunges 3 metres as driver presses accelerator by mistake, narrowly missing pedestrian in China
A car Plunged 3 metres as the driver hit the accelerator by mistake, narrowly missing a pedestrian in southern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Yibin in Sichuan Province on September 19.
Due to improper operation, the driver named Wang mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake, narrowly grazing a young man carrying a bucket.
In the moments that followed, the vehicle careened out of control, crashing through the guardrail and plummeting down a 3-metre-high embankment.
The vehicle, guardrail, and a motorcycle parked in the yard suffered extensive damage. Miraculously, no one was injured.
Wang was blamed for the incident.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
