A pet Dachshund dog enjoyed sprinting and diving into the lake during a family trip.

Footage shows the short-legged pooch Rizza dashing to the end of the pier and pleading for her owner to allow her to take a plunge in Kyiv City, Ukraine, on August 14.

Rizza did dozens more bellyflops and waded through the water with her tiny legs right after climbing up the wooden dock.

After only a few minutes of resting on land, the friendly pooch also ran back into the water and returned to swim with the others.

Pet owner Olena Vorobiova said: ‘My Dachshund loves to play in the water.'

Although Dachshund dogs can swim, they are not naturally inclined to do so because of their shorter legs compared to other breeds.
