A couple and a local ranger managed to rescue a reindeer that was stuck in a fence.

Filmed in Uløya, Norway, on August 30, the footage shows a reindeer bent over with its antlers stuck in a wired fence.

The filmer and boyfriend called a local ranger to assist in the painstaking rescue mission.

"The local Sami guy, Øyvind, arrived and since he was alone, he asked for assistance," said the filmer.

They added: " So me, my boyfriend Patrik, and our friend Veronika went into the bushes to rescue him. Øyvind used ropes to lie him down, and then we came closer to keep him on the ground and cut off the fences.

"The fence was badly stuck on his horns, so Patrik needed to use also angle grinder to release everything.

"The rescue operation lasted around 12 minutes. Luckily we were able to cut off all the fences from the reindeer’s horns, so he returned to the wild nature with no issues.

"Also, we cleaned up the area around just to be sure no other animal can get hurt."
