Dunmail Raise and A591 battered by more storms & floodwater
Dunmail Raise, above Grasmere, was battered once again with storm force winds and torrential rain this morning.
The A591 has been washed away at a point close to the head of Thirlmere resevoir. It is impassable for vehicles, cutting off the route between Grasmere and Keswick,
The Council have yet to outline a timeframe for the repair of the main trunk road connecting the North and South of the county of Cumbria.
