25-year-old Tunisian vlogger Derouiche Asma is a postgraduate student at Beijing Language and Culture University. Besides studying, she records her daily life, China's rich history and culture in her vlogs, vowing to act as a cultural ambassador.

"Hello, my name is Asma. I'm from Tunisia. I've been here in China for one year. It's like an amazing experience that I have faced in my life.
     
I have studied Chinese in my country for three years. Now I'm so happy because I have the chance to be here in China finally.
     
China is so big, so I went to so many places. For example, I went to Xi'an. Xi'an has a big museum of Bingmayong (Terracotta Warriors Museum). It's like a historical place, I can feel that I am in China. I want to experience more Chinese culture, Chinese life. Here in Beijing, I went to so many places, especially in Gugong (Palace Museum), I have seen how China protects its historical places. Everything is protected very well. Also, I went to Liangma River. The view is so relax-able, so kind, I feel like that I want to come more and more.
     
I encourage people to come to China and face it, experience it, because China is so big and even every place has special things.
     
There are so many people that they didn't understand about Chinese culture. After when I started posting so many pictures, posting some videos of our daily life in China, they said that they didn't expect that China is like this.
     
It's a good result of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) that has a good impact, especially in my country.
     
And my father watched the news that said China is developing very quickly. He works in hotel. Before the COVID-19, there were so many Chinese tourists coming to Tunisia for traveling. There are so many Chinese companies entering our country. He said that my future will be rich, work chance will be so good for me. I am encouraged to study Chinese.

Especially when I speak Chinese behind my father, he feels so proud.
     
We also have exchange. Tunisian students who want to study Chinese become so many. Why not if I get a good job in my country, I will be back to teach other people Chinese."
