This is the heartwarming moment a stray cat trapped on a highway was rescued by a kind driver in Thailand.

The female motorist was travelling along a flyover in Bangkok when she noticed the tiny feline stranded on the road shoulder next to speeding cars on July 30.

She parked her truck on the roadside, then rushed out to retrieve the black-and-white moggie before it could be run over.

Footage shows the Good Samaritan jogging on the road while carrying the kitten in one hand. She then placed the cat onto the lap of her friend seated in the truck, with the curious animal inspecting the vehicle.

The driver said she found the cat-friendly. She took it home to give it a bath, fresh milk and cat food. She has now adopted it as a rescue pet.
