A 9-foot-long crocodile was hauled out of a well in Maharajpur, Madhya Pradesh, after it had fallen in.

Footage from September 24 shared by the Divisional Forest Office (DFO) shows the fierce reptile being pulled up to the surface after ropes were tied around its snout.

Mahendra Pratap Singh of the local DFO said that the croc was trapped in the well for around three days and it took his team six hours to pull it out. The reptile was later released into the Nauradehi Forest Sanctuary.

A nine-foot-long crocodile was rescued after it fell into a 30-feet deep well in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

This incident happened in Maharajpur, Sagar district on September 24.

Visuals showed the crocodile inside the well as it splashed water while being pulled out. A rope was tied to the reptile's mouth and it was pulled out of the deep well outside to safety. Later, Officials were seen tying up his mouth while subduing the creature with a ladder.

Sagar DFO Mahendra Pratap Singh told Newslions that the forest department rushed to the spot after villagers informed them about the crocodile. As per villagers, it was there inside the well for three days and the forest department officials, after hard work for about six hours, were about to save the reptile's life. Later, it was released into the Nauradehi Forest Sanctuary.
