Footage shows the motorists battling across the torrential deluge cascading down the Huai San Reservoir in Chiang Rai province on September 21.
Several pick-up trucks drove through the surging currents safely, while a smaller sedan was nearly swept away by the floods.
Thailand and neighbouring countries in Southeast Asia are in their annual monsoon rainy season which sees soaring temperatures followed by powerful rain storms in the afternoon leading to widespread flash floods.
