U.S. Para-Commandos perform aerial parachute demonstration for annual airshow in California
The U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) Para-Commandos conducted a parachute demonstration at the 2023 Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Airshow in San Diego, California, on September 23.
GoPro footage shows the Para-Commandos launching themselves from a plane then deploying their parachutes as they landed on a field on September 23.
The Para-Commandos are the SOCOM's 'premier aerial parachute demonstration team' tasked to perform at events across the nation to inform the public about the SOCOM.
America's Air Show, previously known as the Miramar Air Show, was launched on Saturday and featured military aircraft and civilian aerobatic performances.
This year's theme is 'America's Airshow: Presented by the United States Marine Corps'. Thousands of people attended the event to witness the performances, local media reported.
