A Russian rapper and his Thai girlfriend have both been found dead after they were hacked to death by speedboat propellers as they paddled together in the sea.

Enrike Rakhman, 22, and his partner Narada Taichaisong, 20, had been enjoying a romantic trip to Tian Beach on the idyllic Koh Larn island in eastern Thailand on Monday afternoon, September 25.

As the young couple dipped into the water and kissed while floating side-by-side to admire the sunset, a roaring speedboat suddenly barreled into the shallows and struck them.

The propeller blades ripped through Narada's flesh and she was found dead in water. Enrike, who has songs on Spotify under the name Mi Ca$a, was also struck.

Narada's body was found shortly after the collision while Enrike, from Moscow, was discovered on Wednesday morning, September 27, on rocks around 70 metres away.

Speedboat operator Thawatchai Chomphuphuang, 19, allegedly left the scene but was later arrested and remanded in custody on suspicion of causing the death.

Devastated friends paid tribute to 'beautiful' Narada, who had first met Enrike when he visited the region on an earlier holiday. They stayed in touch over social media and he arrived on holiday in August. They had a romantic island getaway when they were killed.

Friend Kanyrat, 20, said: 'I studied at school with Narada. She was the most beautiful in the year. She was so happy all the time and popular. We're all sad because it's like losing a sister, she was so kind. Her family are heartbroken because they have lost a daughter.'

Police Colonel Thanaphong Phothi, chief of the Pattaya City Police Station, said officers received a report at around 6 pm when shocked locals found Narada floating face-down in the water.

Investigations found that the young couple had been staying at a resort on the island. They had checked out on Monday morning and travelled to Tian Beach on a rented motorcycle.

The couple's belongings - including phones, sandals, and notebooks - were found on sunloungers at the beach.

Staff at a nearby massage shop told police that they saw the loved-up couple taking a dip at 4 PM. A speedboat with two engines then arrived to pick up tourists to return them to the coast of nearby Pattaya.

The onlookers said the boat had paused for a brief moment - allegedly after hitting the couple - then continued to speed away. Narada's corpse was found shortly after floating face down.

Witness Tawan Namp, 35, a worker, said he saw the couple paddling together shortly before the incident. He said they were around 50ft from the shore when the speedboat whizzed past them.

'They disappeared from the water after the boat went by,' he said.

Narada's body was taken with that of Enrike back to the mainland for a post-mortem examination. Police said her right breast had been cut off by the propellers as well as her leg. She had wounds on her thigh, shoulder, chest, and face where her skin was torn.

Police Colonel Thanaphong Phothi said: 'The female body was found by people on the beach after the crash. The man's body has now been discovered following a search since Monday. The body had sunk and was taken away by the current during the stormy weather before it surfaced again, which is why it took a long time to find.

'The rescue team recovered the body, which was subsequently handed over to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a comprehensive autopsy and for formal identification.

'The female victim's relatives visited the scene and confirmed that the body belonged to her daughter and her boyfriend Enrike Rakhman from Russia.

'The suspect has been held in custody over the death. He will be charged with recklessly operating a boat causing someone's death and leaving the scene of an accident, as we believe he knew that he had struck the two victims before leaving.'
