The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the visit of the Saudi diplomat is considered a historic milestone to strengthen and develop bilateral relations and will open more horizons for joint cooperation in all fields.

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Malki received the new Saudi ambassador and his accompanying delegation at the ministry's headquarters in Ramallah, where he received a copy of his credentials as non-resident plenipotentiary and extraordinary ambassador, as well as consul general in Jerusalem. .

Al-Sudairi and his accompanying delegation arrived in the West Bank on Tuesday via the Karama crossing from Jordan on a two-day official visit that will end this Wednesday.

The visit of Al Sudairi, who was appointed last August as ambassador to Palestine and consul in Jerusalem, marks the first by a senior Saudi official to the Occupied Palestinian Territories since 1967.
