Park workers encountered a wild giant panda in southern China.

The video was filmed in Guangyuan City in Sichuan Province on September 26.

The panda, sensing the presence of humans, agilely clambered up a nearby fir tree.

In an effort to not disturb this majestic creature and to yield its path, the park personnel promptly chose to sit and wait, basking in the unexpected intimacy of the encounter. With gazes locked between the panda and the workers for about three to four minutes, each assessing the essence of the other.

Feeling the absence of threat and seemingly appeased by the passive demeanour of the humans, the wild panda then made its amusing descent, shaking its head in what seemed like a playful manner, before vanishing into the adjacent bamboo forest.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
