While recording huge waves battering the North Wales town of Criccieth during Storm Agnes a fimer couldn't believe their eyes when a surfer strolled past and made his way out into the white water.

The extraordinary scene unfolded right in front of the RNLI lifeboat station, adding to the filmer's sense the action wasn't just dangerous but selfish too since any rescue would risk the lives of lifeguards going out to help the silly surfer.

Whilst filming the huge waves which battering Criccieth from Storm Agnes, couldn’t believe that a surfer strolled past and made his way out into the white water. This was right in front of the RNLI lifeboat station in Criccieth. It is very concerning when you see an individual taking on nature’s fury. If he had an accident and the board hit him he’d have no chance of making it - but the lifeguards would risk their own lives to help (every time).
