STORYLINE:
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry expressed its condolences on Wednesday to Iraq over the massive fire in Iraq's northern province of Nineveh that has resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries.
The fire broke out on Tuesday night in the al-Haytham Wedding Hall in the town of al-Hamdaniya, 35 km southeast of the provincial capital Mosul.
Ahmed Abu Zeid, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, expressed the sincere condolences of the Arab Republic of Egypt and its solidarity with the government and people of the Republic of Iraq.
He also offered his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
