A territorial stray dog took out a motorcycle riding in front of its home - sending them skidding across the concrete.

The pooch emerged from the edge of the street and aimed to stop the vehicle that it heard passing by in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, on August 29.

CCTV footage shows the animal trying to block the path of the two-wheeler, causing the man to lose balance when he hit it.

The dog was thrown off into a roadside ditch and ran away while the rider drifted off with his bike upon crashing. He had minor wounds on his body but was not seriously hurt.

The owner and the rider had discussions about who was to blame and would would pick up the bill for the damaged bike and injuries.

More than a million stray dogs and cats are roaming around Thailand due to several factors, including the lack of strict animal control laws, the prevalence of abandonment, and the high reproduction rate among them.
