Crocodile captured after it fell out of canal due to heavy rainfall in southern India
A crocodile was captured by police and the forest department after it fell out of a canal that overflowed due to heavy rainfall in southern India's Telangana.
This incident happened in Chintal Basti area under the Khairatabad police station in Hyderabad on September 27.
Visuals showed efforts being made to capture the reptile. It was not easy at all, given the ferocious nature of the creature. The crocodile came out of the canal and the officials standing in the area immediately put a net and tied it up so that it could not harm anyone. They tied the massive jaws of the reptile and caught the animal. The massive reptile was also seen pacing around a room later on with the rope its mouth.
The crocodile was rescued by an anti-poaching squad from Hyderabad in coordination with NGO Praddepnayar, AWCS,(Animal Warriors Conservation Society). The reptile was rescued from the Chintal Basthi area, Khairathabad and then handed over to the Zoo Park in Hyderabad.
