Mechanics pulled a massive monitor lizard from an MG sedan being repaired.

Footage shows the worker looking under the red vehicle lifted on a hydraulic jack before the 5ft-long reptile scurried out in Samut Prakan province, Thailand on August 7.

The Godzilla-like beast ran across the shop and hid under a parked light blue MG car before transferring into another.

A rescue team later went to the establishment to catch and release the animal back into its habitat, away from the British brand motor.

Asian water monitor lizards normally live in canals, swamps, sewers and ponds in cities in Thailand. They feed on fish, snakes, frogs and scraps of food left by humans.

The reptiles are aggressive when threatened and have a mildly venomous bite which sometimes carries harmful bacteria. The Godzilla-like reptiles are also a protected species in the country so their population thrives.
