Teacher in court over pupil sex charges in UK

Primary school teacher arrives at Derby Crown Court for plea hearing for sex offences against two pupils. Alex Withey previously pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual assault when he appeared on bail at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court in August.
The offences are alleged to have happened when the 29-year-old was teaching at Lakeside Primary Academy, in London Road, Alvaston. Magistrates sent the case to Derby Crown Court where Withy, of Oulton Close, Shelton Lock appeared on Thursday.
