Police department rescues stunned but uninjured skunk in Waterville, Maine on the 21st of September 2023.
A police officer was filmed as he help a skunk go free after it spotted wandering aimlessly in the middle of the road with a plastic cup stuck on its head.
The distress call led Waterville Officers and a State Trooper to the scene on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville, in the US State of Maine where they discovered the trapped animal on the morning of the 21st of September 2023.
With the use of a long pole, one officer managed to free the skunk from its plastic prison that blocked its vision and left it completely disoriented.
The Waterville Police Department said: "Despite a moment of being stunned, the skunk was uninjured and was able to move from the roadway to safety."
