This is the emotional moment a cancer patient was comforted by her family as she shaved her head for the first time.

Jasmin Reducto, 20, sat calmly while her brother Ysrael cut away her long brown locks in front of the mirror at the family home in Ontario, Canada on September 22.

Her family gathered together in the living room to support Jasmin, who has been battling a malignant brain tumour since August last year.

Her brother Ysrael, along with her other brother, also then both shaved off their beloved shoulder-length locks to make their struggling sister feel better.

The siblings all had a group hug with their mother following the haircuts.

Ysrael said: 'We still have our faith and hope for Jasmine and she remains strong and has her fighting spirit. With our love and support we can help her through.'
