"Making use of the exhibits at our Zhangyuan Museum, we present the immersive drama in a completely new way, offering our visitors a unique experience through a combination of performances and exhibits."

In this century-old former residence, docents dress up and assume different roles, guiding the audience through various stages of history and creating a unique cultural journey.

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): XU ZIXIANG, Docent, Zhangyuan Museum
"We put on these costumes and take on various roles, including characters like gossipmongers in the bustling market, the owner of a clothing store, and finally (recreating scenes from the 1950s and 1960s) the wedding room, complete with candies from that era. The audience's feedback has been very positive, and they genuinely feel like they've traveled back in time. Combining this kind of storytelling with performance helps us connect more closely with the audience."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): WANG JING, Tianjin North Performing Arts Group Co., Ltd.
"Audiences now have upgraded demands, seeking more vivid, authentic, and detailed experiences. What we have experienced practically is that in museums, major tourist attractions, theaters, or even restaurants, immersive performances are becoming increasingly popular. Extending our performance content to a broader audience could promote growth and engagement on the current tourism and cultural market."
