Huge whale shark whips woman with its tail as she poses underwater
This is the scary moment a huge whale shark appeared to become annoyed - and whipped a snorkeler with its tail.
Footage shows the tourist, Odette Hernandez, striking a pose with the marine creature in the background at Oslob off the coast of Cebu City, the Philippines, on April 23.
During the tour, the guide pushed Odette into the water to prevent her from floating to the surface. She had mistakenly believed that the whale sharks were some distance away. However, one of the whale sharks moved closer, its tail inadvertently slapping Odette on the head.
Odette said she swam away as fast was she should when she felt the shark's tail and saw the beast over her shoulder.
