The Thai Prime Minister visited the shopping mall shooting scene this morning as flowers were laid at the entrance.

Property developer turned politician Srettha Thavisin walked around in Siam Paragon building in Bangkok, Thailand, where a shooter killed at least two people and injured five others on Tuesday afternoon.

A solitary bunch of flowers was laid at the building's entrance mourning the tourist Jinnan Zhao, 34, from Beijing, China, and the holidaymaker from Myanmar who were shot dead in the rampage.

The 14-year-old suspect was pinned to the ground and arrested as terrified shoppers fled for their lives. Four people are in intensive care.

Shocked teachers from a private school where the suspect is thought to have been a student said they were devastated by the incident.

Police Chief General Torsak Sukvimol said the suspect will undergo hospital checks this week to assess his psychological state.

The suspect is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, possessing a gun without permission, carrying firearms in public and firing a gun in public.
