A pet owner gave his big dogs a desensitisation training by walking them through a busy shopping mall.

Footage shows the three large Alabai pooches - black-coloured Dilim, Lucas the black and white, and the white one aptly named White - strolling around the noisy establishment and following the lead of their caretaker in Cavite, the Philippines on August 20.

Pet owner Melvin Cajigal said: ‘Lucas was the first to be exposed to such surroundings last year while Dilim was the second and white the newest addition.

‘White seems to be nervous during the walk as she was not accustomed to loud noises and other dogs barking in the event.'

Desensitisation is a training technique that involves exposing a pooch to things that they are afraid of or anxious about in a gradual and controlled manner. The goal is to help the dog learn that these things are not a threat and they can remain calm and relaxed in its presence.
