Footage shows how an artist makes incredible calligram portraits from thousands of words.

AJ Ortega, 26, created the impressive picture of Filipino-Spanish actress Marian Rivera's by repeatedly writing her name in black ink at his home in Leyte, the Philippines, on August 16.

He said: 'I have been drawing since I was a kid, but I had to stop when I went to college. I decided to start drawing again recently while we were stuck at home. I'm so pleased with the results.'

AJ has created calligram art featuring both local and international celebrities.

Calligram art is a type of visual poetry in which the arrangement of the words or letters creates a visual image that is related to the meaning of the words. Calligrams can be simple or complex, and they can be created using any type of text, such as poems, quotes, or even song lyrics.

Calligram art has a long history, dating back to ancient Greece. However, it became especially popular in the 19th and 20th centuries, thanks to the work of poets such as Guillaume Apollinaire and Lewis Carroll.
