By ditching the car for a day and using public transportation, you not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants, but you also help promote a healthier environment for people who live near areas with heavy traffic.
In addition, the use of public transportation also promotes a healthier lifestyle by encouraging walking and cycling options to bus stops and subway or Metrolink stations.
To redeem free rides on Metro Bike Share, people must use code 100423, which can be used multiple times throughout the day; while for free trips on Metro Micro, the code is CleanAir23.
