A driver and his passengers were rescued from their pickup truck that veered off the road on a Thai mountain.

Footage shows the stricken crash victims - a man, a woman, and a boy - being assisted out of the damaged vehicle in Phetchabun province on September 30.

Rescuer Surachai Chaiyaban said he and his wife had been driving along the mountain road when they encountered the pickup truck struggling to turn at a bend on the sloped pavement. He said the truck lost control and shot off the tarmac into the undergrowth.

Surachai said: 'I was scared the truck would fall off the cliff, so my wife and I decided to rush over to help the passengers. Luckily, there were no serious injuries.'
