The Bukittinggi City Government plans to make the railway station, Lambuang Station, the largest culinary center in West Sumatra.

The construction land area reaches 2.1 hectares, with a budget of IDR 17.1 billion originating from the Bukittinggi City Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) for 2022 and 2023.

The construction of the largest culinary center in West Sumatra is targeted for completion and can be occupied by traders by December 2023.

There are at least more than 2,500 varieties of culinary specialties from West Sumatra that will make Lambung Station the largest culinary center.

The old train station in Bukittinggi City is used as the largest culinary center, apart from attracting local and foreign tourists with its diverse culinary delights.

This step also aims to make Lambuang Bukittinggi Station, which is closely related to the history of railways in West Sumatra, alive again and busy with visitors.
